KEYNOTE SPEAKERS

1. Andrey Golub 

Bio: DeepTech & FashionTech Entrepreneur for past 12+ years, with overall professional R&D background of 20+ years, focused on Design Automation and passionate about AI Driven Engineering, experienced with Hybrid AI/ Augmented Intelligence, Digital Twins & CAD Simulations, Algorithm & Data Driven Design, and Hyper-Automation. Co-founder from 2014 of ELSE Corp (www.else-corp.com)- a Virtual Retail, 3D Commerce and Design Automation company. Currently CEO & CTO. Since 2020 is General Manager for Italy and Head of AI+CAD R&D of ICOL Group (www.icol.com)- Smart Robo-Factories and Digital Ecosystems. One of high top companies worldwide in smart automation, industry 4.0 for fashion and footwear.

2. Theodoros Stouraitis

Bio: Currently a senior research scientist at the Honda Research Institute Europe working on collaborative and assistive robotics. Before that he was visiting scientist at IRG at Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), USA, where he was advised by Prof. Julie Shah. In 2021, he obtained his PhD in Robotics from the University of Edinburgh, UK, under the supervision of Prof. Sethu Vijayakumar at the SLMC group and Dr. Michael Gienger at the Honda Research Institute Europe. His PhD studies were supported in full by the Honda Research Institute Europe fellowship as part of the HRI-EU European Graduate Network. Prior to PhD studies, he completed a MSc in Artificial Intelligence at the University of Edinburgh in 2016 where he worked at the Insects Robotics group. From 2012 till 2015, he worked as research assistant at the Robotics and Mechatronics Institute of DLR (German Aerospace Center). He obtained his Diploma (BSc + MSc) in Computer Engineering and Informatics from the University of Patras, Greece in 2011.

3. Jim Downing

Bio: CEO of Metail, a computer vision and 3D tech company whose mission is  to accelerate positive change in the apparel industry. Under Jim’s leadership, Metail has secured over 20 international patents to develop products and innovation used by leading fashion brands, manufacturers and retailers.  Metail is also actively engaged in R&D projects with industry and academic partners in the areas of VR, AR and machine learning, such as the eTryOn consortium, Snap Inc and for TAL Group. Before moving into a leadership role as CTO of Metail, Jim was a software engineer and architect. He’s worked in a range of different areas in academia and startups spanning knowledge management, ice cream research, financial services and molecular informatics before settling for a while on fashion, apparel and retail.
