Βιογραφικό Σημείωμα 📝
Amalia Stalika is a graduate of the Department of Clothing Design and Production of the Alexandria TEI of Thessaloniki (2007) and holds a Master’s Degree in “Management and Organization of Educational Units” from the International Hellenic University (2020). Since 2023 she is a PhD candidate at the Department of Creative Design and Clothing of International Hellenic University, with research focus on the optimization of the design and production process of sustainable textiles and their impact on producers and consumers.
She has long-term educational experience in higher education, initially as a Laboratory Associate at TEI of Thessaloniki and TEI of Central Macedonia, and then as an Full-time Adjunct Professor at the International Hellenic University of Greece. She has taught laboratory and theoretical courses such as: Principles of Somatometry, Pattern Design of Garments, Haute Couture Techniques and Collection Creation & Development, while she has supervised a large number of thesis on topics combining creative design with sustainability and cultural reference.
She has presented her work at international scientific conferences and has published articles on Quality in Education and Sustainable Practices in Clothing Design. Her research and teaching interests focus on linking Creative Design with the Principles of Sustainability, Innovation and the Social Impact of Fashion.
